Suzanne - Violin, Voice, Piano
Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Music with honors in classical performance from McGill University in Montreal as well as a post graduate Artist Diploma from the Vancouver Academy of Music.
Suzanne has taught students of all ages and levels in various methods including the Royal Conservatory of Music method and the Suzuki system. Prior to founding the Violin Studio she taught at the Vancouver Academy of Music and the McGill Conservatory of Music in Montreal. Suzanne’s insightful and flexible teaching methods ensure students learn the correct fundamentals of technique and musicianship, which provide the foundation to play in a wide variety of styles; from Classical to other genres including jazz, folk, celtic, blues, pop and rock.
Throughout Suzanne’s teaching career, she has managed to maintain a distinguished professional performing career; having played with major Canadian symphonic orchestras including: Montréal’s L’Orchestre Metropolitain, the Vancouver Symphony, Toronto Philharmonia and the Victoria Symphony. She has also played in award winning chamber music ensembles, as well as groups with the likes of David Foster, Celine Dion, Blue Rodeo, Rod Stuart, and Natalie MacMaster. As an vocalist Suzanne has also performed classical and modern repertoire in various professional venues.
